Job summary

Emmanuel Faith Community Church is seeking a Preschool Teacher to partner with families in guiding preschoolers to honor God by living like Jesus. You will deliver biblically-based education in a loving, safe, and nurturing classroom and align teachings with EFCC’s values.

The role requires implementing weekly lesson plans, supervising children, and communicating progress to parents. A background in early childhood education and relevant certifications are preferred; evening or weekend trainings

Qualifications

Commitment to EFCC’s Statement of Faith, Mission, & Values.
Preferred experience in preschool education and family collaboration.
Ability to follow approved curricula and maintain developmentally appropriate practices.

Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of children, families and staff.
Develop and implement weekly lesson plans using approved curricula.
Provide age-appropriate activities to promote development and spiritual growth.
Set up the classroom environment according to curriculum and rating system.
Utilize materials to create a learning environment appropriate to children's development.
Create a safe, healthy environment and maintain cleanliness.
Supervise children and enforce classroom rules and discipline.
Observe and document children's developmental progress and share with parents.
Engage volunteers and maintain open communication with families.
Maintain written records and participate in staff trainings.
