Job summary

Channel Islands YMCA at Montecito Family YMCA in Santa Barbara, CA seeks a Program Director to oversee program development, budgeting, and department growth. You will manage financial controls, grants, contracts, and vendor relations while leading a staff team to deliver high‑quality programs and community impact.

Responsibilities include marketing growth plans, ensuring health and safety compliance, supervising hiring and training, and driving fundraising efforts and HEPA standards across

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, related work experience may offset degree requirement.
• 2+ years previous work experience in related field.
• Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Maintain a valid California driver’s license and driving record.
• Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for financial development including budgeting and meeting growth expectations.
• Management of financial controls including registration processing, contracts and grants, vendor dealings.
• Develop and implement marketing plans for department growth and brand maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and complete routine risk assessments.
• Be a member of the branch safety team and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Provide supervision of staff: hiring, scheduling, coaching, and training plans.
• Generate growth through goal setting, evaluations, and staff development.
• Meet program quality expectations and HEPA standards across the department.
• Develop program proposals, evaluate offerings, and communicate results.
• Lead an annual campaign team and support fundraising events.
• Collaborate with volunteers and cross-marketing efforts.
• Oversee branch environment and membership expectations.
