Job summary

Applitrack in Chicago is seeking a Paraeducator for Early Childhood Education Preschool to support the certified teacher and assist students in one-on-one or small group activities.

The role includes helping students meet IEP goals, preparing classroom materials, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with toileting, and implementing behavior plans under supervision. This is a school-year assignment with daily 8:30a–3:30p hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• AA degree or 48 college credits or state paraeducator assessment test required.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Assist students one-on-one or in small groups under teacher supervision.
• Help prepare classroom materials and maintain supplies.
• Assist with toileting and diapering as needed.
• Support safety and cleanliness of facilities.
• Follow behavior plans and assist with students who have behavioral needs.
• Supervise students during recess, PE, library and bus arrival/departure.
