Job summary

YWCA Greater Cleveland is seeking a Preschool Lead Teacher for our Early Learning Center in Cleveland to deliver developmentally appropriate education to children aged 3 to 5. You will implement DAP, adhere to Ohio Early Learning Content Standards, and ensure a safe, trauma-informed environment while collaborating with families on each child’s progress.

The role requires an Associate's degree (with enrollment in a Bachelor's program), 2–3 years of full-time teaching experience, and current First

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in a related field.
• 3 years of full-time teaching experience with children aged 3–5.
• Knowledge of ODJFS rules and regulations.
• First Aid/CPR, communicable disease, and child abuse certifications.
• Successful BCI/FBI background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide top-notch care for children while ensuring safety and regulation compliance.
• Implement Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) in daily lessons.
• Craft engaging lesson plans aligned with Ohio Early Learning Content Standards.
• Build strong relationships with parents and communicate child progress.
