Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a Lead Teacher to administer child care programs across Northeast Ohio. You will create lesson plans, maintain records, ensure licensing compliance, and supervise staff while traveling to branch sites as needed.

Requirements include a minimum high school diploma, CPR/BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days, and at least two years of licensed childcare experience; strong MS Office skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma is required.
• CPR/BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of experience in a licensed childcare program.
• One year of experience using Microsoft Office and knowledge of licensing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement lesson plans following YMCA curriculum guidelines.
• Maintain attendance records, CACFP, and other site reports.
• Ensure state licensing compliance and site safety.
• Coordinate substitute instructors and coverage as needed.
• Foster positive communication with parents and staff.
