The Preschool Lead Teacher provides a caring, safe, and well-managed environment for children to participate in learning activities and imaginative play. The teacher instructs in basic skills such as color, shape, number, and letter recognition, as well as social skills. The Lead Teacher establishes clear objectives for all lessons, prepares, organizes, and leads instruction in all activities. The Lead Teacher evaluates children's academic performance and social development and communicates progress to parents and guardians. Ensuring enforcement of district policies, serving meals and snacks according to nutritional guidelines, and performing administrative duties such as staff meetings, professional development, and inventory management are also key responsibilities.
Education, Licensure, or Certification
Skills & Abilities
Position requires passing a criminal history background check and holding a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
Travel between campuses as needed; ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds; sitting, standing, kneeling, and concentration required.
Local and in-state travel required.
