Summary

The Learning Lab is a licensed daycare center seeking to fill a full-time lead Preschool Teacher position. We are looking for someone with a natural passion for children to work in our toddler classroom, which consists of three and four-year-olds.

Duties

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily classroom functions for a group of children.
• Follow all rules and regulations set by local, state, or national regulatory agencies concerning the health, safety, and care of children.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules in accordance with The Learning Lab curriculum.
• Maintain an attractive, well-organized classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions confidently.
• Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while setting clear and consistent behavioral expectations.
• Take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance following the guidelines in The Learning Lab's Employee Handbook.
• Assist in other duties as determined by the Director or designee.

Complete the following CACFP duties:

• Serve and supervise meals.
• Conduct point-of-service meal counts, and clean and sanitize all eating areas.

Requirements

• Must be dependable.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous childcare experience is required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must possess a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
• CPR and First Aid certification are required.
