CPCD is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher in Colorado Springs to plan and implement learning experiences that promote school readiness and the development of the whole child. The role ensures a safe, healthy classroom environment and strong family partnerships, under Head Start standards.

Plans and implements learning experiences that advance the development of the whole child. Establishes and maintains a safe, healthy learning environment using high quality learning experiences to advance the development of the whole child in partnership with families. Complies with all Head Start Performance Standards, Colorado Department of Human Services licensing requirements, and the Colorado Quality Standards for Early Childhood Care and Education Services. Implements a balance of group and individualized experiences to promote the development of school readiness skills as defined by CPCD’s School Readiness Action Plan. Provides daily supervision for assigned classroom staff.
This position is set to begin on September 14th
Step 1: AA Degree/ECE or related Field & DQ (Written Agreement to obtain a DQ if not held)
Step 2: Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related Field and DQ (Written Agreement to obtain a DQ if not held)
