CPCD in Colorado Springs is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to begin September 14. The role plans and implements learning experiences that advance the development of the whole child, in partnership with families, aligned with Head Start standards.
The position includes 40 hours per week, supervision of classroom staff, and opportunities for tuition assistance and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
Description
Plans and implements learning experiences that advance the development of the whole child. Establishes and maintains a safe, healthy learning environment using high quality learning experiences to advance the development of the whole child in partnership with families. Complies with all Head Start Performance Standards, Colorado Department of Human Services licensing requirements, and the Colorado Quality Standards for Early Childhood Care and Education Services. Implements a balance of group and individualized experiences to promote the development of school readiness skills as defined by CPCD’s School Readiness Action Plan. Provides daily supervision for assigned classroom staff.
Step 1: AA Degree/ECE or related Field & DQ (Written Agreement to obtain a DQ if not held)
Step 2: Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related Field and DQ (Written Agreement to obtain a DQ if not held)
