Job summary

The Learning Experience - Byron Center is seeking an experienced Preschool Lead Teacher to turn children's questions, creativity, and curiosity into meaningful learning experiences. You will lead a classroom where children build academic, social-emotional, communication, and independence skills for their next big steps.

You will guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers, document progress, and ensure a safe, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in preschool or early childhood classroom required.
• CDA or related credentials preferred.
• Must meet Michigan Lead Caregiver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead an engaging and organized Preschool classroom.
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Create learning experiences that support early literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Encourage problem-solving, independence, communication, and collaboration.
• Use positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Observe and document children's developmental and learning progress.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
• Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements.

Preschool Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience - Byron Center, MI

Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Byron Center is seeking an experienced Preschool Lead Teacher who can turn children's questions, creativity, and curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.

You'll lead a classroom where children build the academic, social-emotional, communication, and independence skills that prepare them for their next big steps.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead an engaging and organized Preschool classroom
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create learning experiences that support early literacy, math, science, language, creativity, and social-emotional development

Qualifications

• Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
• Strong classroom leadership, communication, and organizational skills
