Qualifications

• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and CACFP regulations.
• Understanding of U.S. Department of Health and NYS Department of Social Services guidelines for food service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares nutritious meals and snacks according to standardized recipes.
• Monitors food temperatures to meet goals and logs results.
• Prepares meals for children with allergies or special diets.
• Maintains hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen daily.
• Maintains stock levels and labels items with expiration dates.
• Assists staff with supervision and classroom preparation when time permits.
• Documents non-federal share of volunteers and donations as required.
• Attends required trainings and works as part of the team.
