Job summary

Community Action Head Start & Early Learning Programs in Northampton is seeking a dedicated Head Start Cook to prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks for infant/toddler and preschool children. The candidate should be highly motivated with a passion for cooking for children and maintain a good driving record.

The position is 37.5 hours per week during the school year and 35 hours during the 14-week summer term.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year cooking experience.
• SERV Safe and allergen awareness certifications.
• Must have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks for infant/toddler and preschool children.
• Cook with allergen awareness and dietary considerations in mind.
• Maintain proper food safety and kitchen cleanliness.
