Job summary

Alliance Center for Education in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced cook for its Head Start Program. You will independently prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks for 100+ preschool children following USDA guidelines and transport meals to classrooms.

You will also retrieve containers after meals and collaborate with staff to maintain safety and quality in a busy early-education setting. This is a 10-month, 8-hour-per-day role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cook experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable transportation.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks for 100+ preschool children according to USDA guidelines.
