Child Development Schools in Raleigh, NC is hiring a Childcare Center Cook to prepare nutritious meals for young children in a fast-paced kitchen. You will follow CACFP guidelines, manage meal timing across classrooms, and support staff as needed.

The role requires food safety basics, a high school diploma, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Eligible benefits include health, retirement, and tuition programs and the chance to contribute to children’s growth.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Valid food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one before start).
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations.
• Care for children's wellbeing and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children in accordance with menu plans and CACFP guidelines.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures to maintain a clean and compliant kitchen.
• Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special needs as documented for enrolled children.
• Track meal counts, food inventory, and supply needs and communicate with center leadership.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Support classroom staff during non-kitchen hours as needed, assisting with activities and supervision.
