Job summary

ACAP seeks a Kitchen Aide to work with the Cook in preparing nutritious meals for preschool children. You will assist with documentation for USDA programs, help with janitorial coordination, and support classroom coverage as needed.

Requirements include 1 year of experience with preschoolers, strong recordkeeping and customer service skills, and CPR/First Aid certification. Proficiency with MS Office is a plus. Must pass background checks and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in child settings and maintaining records.
• Strong customer service and communication with young children.
• Basic health and safety knowledge including CPR/First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, transport, and serve nutritious meals meeting standards; assist with required paperwork.
• Ensure meals are transported to pilot sites in coordination with the cook.
• Follow sanitation and storage guidelines; report deficiencies promptly.
• Record and maintain reports; assist with bill payments and mailing to central office.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
• Expand nutrition knowledge and support nutrition education activities.
