Job summary

Woodford County Schools seeks an enthusiastic Preschool Instructional Assistant to support teachers in kindergarten and special education settings. You will help implement activities, manage routines, and reinforce learning in a caring, structured environment.

You will work closely with a classroom teacher and other staff to ensure each student receives individualized attention and positive guidance throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children.
• Strong interest in supporting a target population.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks.
• Must pass health examination.
• Must have no immoral or criminal history.
• Ability to work well with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff to meet children's needs and free teachers for other tasks.
• Assist with clerical duties such as typing, filing, and reports.
• Help prepare materials for class activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce concepts.
• Serve as a resource for substitutes.
• Support lunch, snacks, clothing, toileting, and daily routines.
• Assist with large group activities.
• Share information about students with teachers.
• Participate in in-service training.
• Assist in developing instructional materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
