Job summary

Sun Valley Resorts in Sun Valley, Idaho, seeks an Assistant Director of Preschool & Kids Camps to support the Director in daily operation and management of preschool and camp programs. You will supervise staff, ensure children's safety, coordinate daily activities, and maintain a welcoming, organized environment.

This leadership role requires strong communication with families and leadership teams, the ability to handle fast-changing situations, and a willingness to work weekends and outdoor

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in preschool or camp settings.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and positive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily preschool and camp operations and transitions.
• Lead and participate in children’s activities.
• Supervise and support staff throughout the day.
• Address and resolve conflicts involving children or staff in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Respond effectively to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare staff, classrooms, facilities, equipment, and materials for daily programming.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming program environment.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, staff, and leadership.
• Maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, and administrative records.
• Assist with recruiting, training, scheduling, and payroll processes.
• Manage program supplies, food, equipment, and materials.
• Conduct family tours and assist with enrollment and payment processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.
