Qualifications

Baccalaureate or higher degree in an approved program for special education, early childhood, or related field.
ODE Early Childhood Intervention Specialist license or ability to obtain a temporary license.
HQT (Highly Qualified Teacher) per Ohio standards.
Strong knowledge of IDEA requirements and Ohio's Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities.

Responsibilities

Provide an appropriate educational program for students in accordance with State Board of Education rules and Fairfield County ESC policies.
Develop and evaluate an IEP for each student in the class, including parent goals.
Use varied instructional strategies, interventions, and accommodations to improve student success.
Maintain records of attendance and progress in alignment with ESC procedures and Ohio requirements.
Coordinate testing requirements and data collection for reports and remediation plans.
