Job summary

Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio seeks an Itinerant Early Childhood Intervention Specialist for the 2026-27 school year to serve preschoolers with disabilities in Richmond Heights Local Schools. The assignment targets center-based preschool readiness skills and may become full-time based on caseload.

Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating learning experiences aligned with IEP objectives, collaborating with families and staff, and maintaining accurate records

Qualifications

• Clear Criminal Background Check (BCI/FBI).
• Appropriate ODEW/SBOE licensure or equivalent.
• Criminal record free of disqualifying violations.
• Completion of required trainings (e.g., First Aid, CPR, Crisis Intervention).
• Adherence to board policies and licensure codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide preschool program information to families; assist with registration, orientation, and follow-up activities.
• Promote hospitality; schedule home visits to improve communication and transitions.
• Prepare the designated area for instruction.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with state standards and IEP objectives.
• Identify problems that may impede learning or social integration.
• Evaluate academic needs and vary instructional techniques to address diverse learners.
• Collaborate with staff; maintain open communications and share resources.
• Maintain complete and accurate records; submit required paperwork on time.
• Maintain confidentiality of privileged information.
• Perform other job-related duties as directed.
