Job summary

Pickerington Preschool seeks an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist - Preschool Teacher to provide a quality program for children with disabilities and to model social/academic skills for typically developing peers. The role aligns with Ohio's Early Learning Development Standards and Ohio Department of Education guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education, early childhood, or related field.
• ODE Early Childhood Intervention Specialist license or ability to obtain a temporary license.
• HQT
• Knowledge of IDEA requirements and Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide an appropriate educational program for students following state rules and district procedures.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate an IEP for each student with parent goals.
• Use diverse instructional strategies and accommodations to support student success.
• Communicate clear objectives for lessons and projects to students.
• Adhere to IDEA requirements and Ohio Operating Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities.
