Job summary

Champaign Park District is seeking a part-time Preschool Instructor to oversee and actively engage preschool children in both indoor and outdoor settings. You will plan developmentally appropriate activities and lead them through play, art, music, storytelling, and science, while preparing and organizing materials for daily use.

Join a collaborative preschool team and support program planning, ensuring a warm, safe environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed education/experience combinations.
• 60 sem hrs with 18 in early childhood education/child development.
• 30 sem hrs + 1 year childcare experience.
• CDA credential.
• HS diploma or equivalent with 2 years childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and actively engage preschool children in indoor and outdoor settings.
• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities (art, music, storytelling, science, play).
• Prepare, organize, and clean materials and spaces for programs.
• Support overall preschool program planning and preparation.
• Create a warm, caring environment for children and families.
