Job summary

The Champaign Park District is offering a Recreation Intern position to gain hands-on experience in public recreation. You will rotate through multiple departments to build a foundation in recreation management and complete a capstone project aligned with your academic goals.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in college or university in a recreation-related field.
  • Available for 10 to 12 weeks and up to 40 hours per week.
  • Must be completing internship for academic credit or graduation requirement.
  • Must be able to pass background check and have reliable transportation.

The Recreation Intern supports the daily operations of the Champaign Park District while rotating through multiple departments to build a strong foundation in recreation management. During the final portion of the internship, you’ll focus on a specialized area of interest and complete a capstone project that aligns with your academic and professional goals.
