Eagles Nest Preschool in Whittier, CA is seeking an Infant and Preschool Curriculum Coordinator to support leadership and foster a nurturing educational environment for infants and preschoolers.

You will lead curriculum planning, training, and team development while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration with parents, staff, and community partners to deliver high-quality early education.

Qualifications

  • A CDA or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience and certifications will also be considered.
  • Previous experience of 4 plus years in child care or early childhood education is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills are essential, enabling effective interaction with children, parents, and staff members while managing multiple responsibilities seamlessly.
  • Possessing first aid and CPR certifications is preferred, and certifications should be renewed as needed.
  • Physical stamina is crucial as the role requires being on your feet and lifting up to 25 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Create a warm and inclusive atmosphere by welcoming children and parents, ensuring they feel embraced and comfortable from the moment they step through our doors.
  • Explain program guidelines to children and parents, ensuring everyone feels informed and supported.
  • Support the Director in overall program management and daily operations, ensuring licensing compliance and high standards.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from parents and prospective families with detailed information about our program.
  • Uphold stringent safety protocols to safeguard all children.
  • Organize and manage monthly curriculum for our infant and preschool program, including supplies.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, fostering a positive work environment and professional growth.
  • Introduce curriculum enhancements and innovative teaching methods to provide high-quality early education.
  • Cultivate relationships with community partners and institutions to enrich our program.
  • Conduct program evaluations and participate in professional development to stay updated on trends.
  • Act as a substitute for the Director in their absence and oversee operations when needed.
  • Provide monthly 30-minute curriculum trainings to staff and assist with administrative duties.

Job Summary

  • Clearly and comprehensively explain our program guidelines to children and parents, ensuring that everyone feels informed and supported throughout their journey with us.
  • Support the Director in overall program management. Assist in overseeing and coordinating daily operations, ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, and maintaining program quality standards.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to inquiries from parents and prospective families, providing detailed information about our program and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Uphold stringent safety protocols to guarantee the well‑being and security of all children under our care.
  • Orangizing & managing monthly curriculum for our infant and preschool program by making copies and ordering supplies.
  • Excellent google doc, word, excel skills.
  • Support the Director in leading and inspiring a dedicated team of teachers and support staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and collaboration.
  • Assist in introducing and implementing curriculum enhancements and innovative teaching methods to provide a high‑quality early education experience for our children.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with community partners, organizations, and educational institutions to enhance our program and create exciting learning opportunities.
  • Assist in conducting program evaluations, monitoring outcomes, and identifying areas for improvement. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on the latest research and trends in early childhood education.
  • Act as a substitute for the Director in their absence, assuming leadership responsibilities and making informed decisions to ensure the smooth operation of the center.
  • Monthly 30 minute Curriculum trainings to keep staff communication open and engaging.
  • Help manage administrative duties or in the classroom if needed.
