Job summary

Porter-Leath is seeking a HS Site Floater to support our Preschool program under the Site Manager's direction. The role includes substitute teaching, kitchen duties, and ensuring children are well fed.

The position requires a HS diploma and CDA Preschool; an Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is preferred, along with relevant experience. CPR/First Aid is favored. No supervisory responsibilities are listed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and CDA Preschool required.
• Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Two years of relevant work experience with infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within the kitchen and classroom per standards.
• Provides classroom coverage for Teachers and Assistant Teachers when absent.
• Assumes primary caregiver role for one group of children when assigned.
• Keeps Supervisor informed of programmatic issues in a timely manner.
• Works cooperatively with staff to create a positive, safe environment for children.
• Assists with health, nutrition, disability, education, and family support services.
