Job summary

North Central West Virginia Community Action Association is seeking a flexible team member to assist in implementing service areas outlined in program policies and procedures. This role will cover breaks and vacancies as assigned, supporting teaching teams and Family and Community Engagement staff under the Children Services Supervisor.

Your duties will include floater tasks across roles such as Teaching Assistant, Custodian, Food Service, Bus Aide, HS Assistant Teacher, EHS Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementation of service areas per program policies and procedures.
• Cover breaks and fill vacancies for applicable staff as required.
• Support teaching teams, Family and Community Engagement staff, and duties assigned by Children Services Supervisor.
• Perform floater tasks across roles such as Teaching Assistant, Custodian, Food Service, Bus Aide, HS Assistant Teacher, EHS Assistant Teacher/Food Service/Custodian and EHS Home-Based Assistant.

Job description

Responsible for assisting in implementation of service areas as outlined in the Program Policies and Procedures and under the guidance of the Teacher or Family Educator (if applicable). Responsible for covering breaks and filling vacancies for applicable staff as assigned. This position will support the teaching teams, Family and Community Engagement staff, and duties as assigned by the Children Services Supervisor. Floater tasks and responsibilities could include those of Teaching Assistant, Custodian, Food Service, Bus Aide, HS Assistant Teacher, EHS Assistant Teacher/Food Service/Custodian and EHS Home-Based Assistant.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, drive an automobile, talk, and hear. The employee must be able to occasionally lift, carry, or assist children weighing up to 50 pounds.
