Primrose School of Cumming West is seeking an experienced Assistant Teacher to plan and implement an ongoing program promoting social, emotional, cognitive and physical development according to Primrose Balanced Learning®. The role focuses on supervising a group of children and delivering engaging activities.

We offer year-round programs from infant through elementary age and provide competitive pay and full-time benefits.

Qualificações

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Must have a positive attitude and a passion for working with young children.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the daily supervision and class functions of a group of children.
• Observe and adhere to health, safety and care regulations.
• Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintain an attractive, organized classroom that encourages exploration and decision-making.
• Provide positive recognition and clear expectations for children's behavior.
• Assist in maintaining the classroom, common areas and playgrounds.
• Attend required staff meetings, workshops and school functions.
• Adhere to dress and appearance guidelines in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist in other duties as determined by the Director.
