Job summary

Primrose School at Fall Creek in Humble, TX is seeking an experienced Teacher to implement an ongoing program of activities promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Shift is 9:30 am to 6:30 pm, with responsibilities covering supervision, lesson delivery, and parental communications.

The role requires adherence to local regulatory requirements and the Primrose Balanced Learning approach, supporting children from infant through elementary ages with year-round programs.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily supervision and class functions for a group of children.
• Observe and adhere to health, safety and care regulations for Primrose School at Fall Creek.
• Assess each child’s developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in line with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and confident decision making.
• Provide verbal recognition and maintain clear, consistent expectations for behavior.
• Assist in maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom and play areas.
• Attend required staff meetings, workshops and school functions.
• Maintain professional appearance per the Employee Handbook.
• Assist in other duties as determined by the Director or designee.
