Job summary

Primrose School of Maple Grove is seeking a qualified Assistant/Lead Teacher to support the Balanced Learning curriculum and daily classroom activities. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment and support each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Join a collaborative team with an on-site chef, low child-to-teacher ratios, and professional development opportunities. Prior licensed early childhood experience preferred; MN Rule 3 qualification required.

Qualifications

• Assistant or Lead Teacher qualified through MN Rule 3.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• First Aid and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Maple Grove and applicable agencies.
• Assist with the implementation of approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and confident decision-making.
