Job summary

Options for Learning is seeking a compassionate floater to support early learning and after-school programs across Walnut-area sites. You will implement curriculum, supervise children, and collaborate with teachers to maintain a safe, engaging environment for diverse families.

This role offers growth opportunities, structured training, and a strong team focused on quality preschool education. Assignments will vary by program needs and locations within the Walnut area and neighboring communities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid child development permit.
• Associate degree in child development or 24 units in child development with 16 units in general education.
• Current pediatric CPR and pediatric first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement classroom activities based on program curricula.
• Provide supervision and a safe, nurturing environment for children.
• Assist with learning centers reflecting children’s interests and needs.
• Support teachers and plan monthly site staff meetings.
• Recruit, train and supervise parents and volunteers as needed.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
