Job summary

Stratford School Milpitas seeks a Multi-Classroom Floater Teacher to support Preschool–Pre-K classrooms across our Milpitas campus. This role reports to campus administration and may assist with campus operations while ensuring a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Designed as a developmental path towards a Classroom Teacher role, you will gain experience in lesson planning, supervision, and daily routines in a collaborative setting within Spring Education Group.

Qualifications

• Requires 12 completed ECE semester units (or 18 quarter units) with coursework in Child Growth & Development, Child, Family, and Community, Program/Curriculum.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Development is acceptable.
• Prior preschool experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Professional, dependable, and flexible with a passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage in Preschool–Pre-K as needed.
• Follow established lesson plans or create new ones for long-term assignments.
• Supervise and engage children to ensure safety and well-being.
• Support daily classroom routines, including nap and snack times.
• Assist with toileting and diaper changing as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Communicate professionally with students, staff, and families.
• Assist with administrative or campus-wide support tasks as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

About the Role:

The Multi-Classroom Teacher provides day-to-day instructional support across multiple Preschool and Pre-K classrooms at our Stratford School campus.

Each morning, you will report to the campus and receive your assignment based on coverage needs. In addition to classroom teaching, you may support with general student supervision or assist the Principal with campus operations. This position plays a vital role in maintaining instructional continuity and a safe, nurturing environment for our students.

This Multi-Classroom Floater Teacher position is designed as a developmental role, intended to prepare candidates for a future Classroom Teacher position. It is expected that individuals in this position will actively work toward and be prepared for placement in a Classroom Teacher role as openings become available.

Location: 125 N. Milpitas Blvd Milpitas, CA 95035

Hourly Pay Range: $26.00 - $29.00

Status: Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm

Travel: May be required to support nearby Stratford campuses
