Job summary

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB (UEC) seeks a part-time, non-benefited preschool assistant to support classroom activities at CSUSB Campus. The role involves assisting master teachers, observing and recording child progress, and ensuring safety and developmentally appropriate practice.

The position supports two preschool classrooms, collaborates with student interns, and requires lifting children, strong organizational skills, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 24 units in early childhood development/child development/Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies.
• Extensive knowledge of DAP and experience teaching in an early learning program.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice, responsive caregiving, and excellent interpersonal skills; reliable, punctual, responsible.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation and implementation of activities tailored to individual needs in language, social, emotional, creativity, science, cognitive, multi-cultural, physical, and perceptual areas.
• Supervise and work with undergraduate and graduate students and others in daily preschool activities on campus.
• Maintain records per State guidelines, conduct child assessments, and communicate effectively with parents.
