Job summary

NBCC is seeking an Associate Teacher to join our California childcare team. Candidates must have 2–5 years of ECE experience, 12–24 ECE units, and be enrolled toward GE units, or hold a CTC Associate Teacher permit.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in ECE program.
• 12–24 ECE units, need to be enrolled in units toward GE units, OR
• CTC Associate Teacher permit.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to NBCC policies and procedures and collaborates with the teaching team.
• Maintain classroom housekeeping to provide an orderly, professional environment.
• Obtain and maintain certification of Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR as required by California State Licensing.
• Engage in self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations with Head Teacher/Site Supervisor.
• Assist in obtaining substitutes when ill or off-site.
• Attend NBCC Staff Development Days.
• Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork with co-workers.
• Support teaching team in implementing child behavior plans and referrals.
