Job summary

CDS Preschools in Lovell, ME seeks Educational Technicians to teach and support children ages 3-5 with disabilities, preparing them for Kindergarten and beyond. Full-time positions are available in our newest preschool classroom inside New Suncook Elementary School in Lovell, with local travel possible.

Educators will supervise groups, implement planned learning with a multidisciplinary team, and require an Ed Tech certification plus a criminal history check. Great pay and benefits offered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
• Conduct one-on-one or small group instruction with indirect supervision.
• Introduce new learning pre-planned in collaboration with the Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the teacher(s).
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and class management functions.
• Exhibit positive language and behavior as a model for children and families.
• Provide input to completion and maintenance of individual observational child assessments.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student and employee information.

We have full-time, calendar year positions available at our newest preschool classroom, located inside New Suncook Elementary School in Lovell. Local travel may be required.

Salary Range

Ed Tech I $17.35 - $27.53

Ed Tech II $19.05 - $29.90

Ed Tech III $20.62 - $32.09

Description

The Educational Technician will provide instruction to children identified with developmental disabilities under the direction of a teacher. Experience working with preschool populations and working with a multidisciplinary team is preferred. A current Ed Tech certification and a criminal history check are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.

• Introduce new learning, pre-planned in collaboration with the Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the teacher(s).

Minimum Qualifications

• Obtain and maintain authorization as an Educational Technician with the Maine Department of Education
• Successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting and reference check
