Job summary

CDS Preschools is seeking Educational Technicians to support children aged 3-5 with disabilities, preparing them for Kindergarten. Full-time, academic year positions are available at our Stepping Stones preschool in Brewer.

Salary ranges by level: Ed Tech I $17.35–$27.53, Ed Tech II $19.05–$29.90, Ed Tech III $20.62–$32.09. Benefits include state medical coverage, dental/vision, life/disability, 403(b), and professional development stipend.

Qualifications

• Current Educational Technician certification required.
• Authorization as Educational Technician with the Maine Department of Education.
• Criminal history check required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
• Conduct one-on-one or small groups with indirect professional supervision.
• Introduce new learning, pre-planned with Preschool Teacher/Case Manager.
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by teachers.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and managing the class.
• Model positive language and behavior for children and families.
• Provide input to completion/maintenance of individual observational assessments.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and employee information.
