Job summary

Cadence Education in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Preschool Director to lead our school and team of educators, shaping a vibrant, child-centered program. You will champion a safe, joyful environment, oversee curriculum implementation, and drive enrollment and quality standards.

This leadership role requires proven early childhood leadership, licensing knowledge, and the ability to mentor 20–40 teachers, build strong parent connections, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership at an early childhood facility with multiple classrooms.
• Meets state licensing standards at a director level.
• Education/experience options: Bachelor’s degree +1+ year in a supervisory role, 6+ months in group childcare; OR Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education +1+ year supervisory +2+ years in group childcare.
• Deep knowledge of national/state education standards, licensing, fire, health, and OSHA regulations.
• Strong grasp of USDA Nutritional Standards for Schools.
• At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company standards.
• Ability to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
