Job summary

Guiding Hands Christian Academy and Childcare in California is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for our preschoolers and assist with classroom coverage when teachers are absent or on break.

As a supportive team member, you will maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, manage inventory, and communicate with teachers and families. A high school diploma and prior preschool experience are preferred, with Monday to Friday shifts and paid time off.

• Previous experience in a preschool environment.

• Shows initiative; strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, healthy menu items and deliver to classroom-based on snack and lunch schedule.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment per procedure and childcare licensing requirements.
• Maintains the inventory of food items and prepares grocery list for ordering.
• Works with the teacher and leadership teams by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis.
• Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis.
• Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards.
• Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment.
