Position Overview:

• Plans, organizes, and delivers instruction based on approved curriculum.
• Monitors, evaluates, and communicates student progress.
• Maintains records and reports.
• Enforces policies, regulations, and rules.
• Supervises students and maintains school property and materials.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Instructs assigned classes at designated times and locations.
• Creates a conducive learning environment appropriate for students' maturity and interests.
• Guides learning towards curriculum goals and sets objectives for lessons and projects.
• Employs suitable instructional methods and materials, prepares lessons, and maintains evidence of preparation.
• Assists administration in implementing policies and rules, develops classroom behavior rules, and maintains order.
• Assesses student accomplishments regularly, provides progress reports, and communicates with parents.
• Participates in parent/teacher conferences to support student education.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Engages in ongoing professional development.
• Attends staff meetings, serves on committees, and participates in extracurricular activities.
• Duties may include health services, with training provided.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the principal or school head.

Physical Demands: The work involves standing or walking, effective communication, and manual tasks such as grasping and manipulating objects. It may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, and lifting light weights.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Kentucky certification suitable for the grade level and curriculum.
• Experience and preparation as required by the Board.
