Job summary

Pediatrics Plus in Arkansas is seeking a Classroom Lead Teacher to supervise the classroom, assess children, implement treatment plans, and guide Classroom Teaching Assistants. We focus on helping developmentally at-risk children through evidence-based therapy and education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDA preferred.
• Prefer at least one year of successful classroom experience with developmentally at-risk children.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the classroom.
• Assess each EIDT child using the proper assessment tool.
• Assist in the development of each child’s ITP.
• Review the ITP and suggest changes to the Curriculum Coordinator.
• Ensure the ITP is implemented to maximize treatment.
• Refer children for additional services as needed, in collaboration with staff.
• Ensure required reports are updated and submitted on time.
• Complete classroom billing and maintain supervision of children.
• Maintain a positive emotional climate and respectful interactions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, sanitary learning environment.
• Support physical activity and motor development.
• Report health/safety concerns promptly.
• Complete in-service trainings yearly.
• Follow policies and regulatory guidelines.
