Job summary

NEMCSA is seeking a Preschool Classroom Aide in Whittemore, MI to help create a safe, engaging classroom where children learn and grow. The role supports social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development, and collaborates with families and staff to ensure school readiness.

You will participate in ongoing training and professional development while contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes health and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience caring for or working with young children preferred.
• Most importantly, you're passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations.
• Partner with families through communication, conferences, and home visits.
• Promote children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school readiness goals.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
