Job summary

NEMCSA, a nonprofit Community Action Agency serving Northeast Michigan, is seeking a Preschool Classroom Aide to help create a safe, engaging classroom where children learn, grow, and prepare for kindergarten.

You will collaborate with families and teachers, support health and safety, and participate in ongoing training. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; driving may be required. This is a part-time role with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience caring for or working with young children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations.
• Partner with families through communication, conferences, and home visits.
• Promote children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school readiness goals.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
