The role supports cognitive, social-emotional, language, physical, and self-help development through structured activities, daily routines, and The Creative Curriculum, under the supervision of the Preschool/Child Care Manager or Assistant Director.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and CDA coursework toward degree.
• Enrollment in CDA or higher Early Childhood Education program preferred.
• Must obtain CDA within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greet children and parents upon arrival and departure and maintain positive communication with families.
• Create and maintain a safe, orderly, nurturing classroom environment meeting licensing requirements.
• Supervise assigned children at all times in classroom, on playground, meals, and field trips.
• Plan and implement daily schedules and activities using The Creative Curriculum.
• Lead activities supporting cognitive, language, pre-writing, motor, social-emotional, and self-help development.
• Maintain confidentiality and report safety concerns to supervisor.
