Job summary

Blue River Services, Inc. seeks a Child & Youth Services Preschool/Child Care Instructor to provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate care in a licensed classroom.

You will support cognitive, language, and social-emotional growth through structured activities and routine, using The Creative Curriculum. The role emphasizes safety, positive communication with families, and collaboration with therapists to implement IEP goals for children with special needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active enrollment in CDA credential or higher degree in ECE or Elementary Education.
• Must obtain CDA within one year of employment or within state regulations.
• Previous experience with children is helpful but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet children and parents upon arrival and departure and maintain positive, professional communication with families.
• Create and maintain a safe, orderly, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that meets licensing requirements.
• Supervise assigned children at all times in classroom, on playground, during meals, and on field trips.
• Interact with children at their developmental level during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Plan and implement daily schedules, activities, and lesson plans using The Creative Curriculum.
• Lead activities that support cognitive, language, pre-writing, fine-motor, gross-motor, social-emotional, and self-help skills.
