Job summary

The Learning Experience in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an Assistant Center Director to partner with the Center Director in daily center operations while fostering a joyful, collaborative environment for children and staff.

You will ensure health and safety standards are met, maintain student and family records, manage inventory and vendor relationships, and drive enrollment and retention while supporting teachers’ professional development.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of center leadership/management experience (highly preferred) or at least one year (required).
• Meet Virginia's Program Director requirements and state-specific guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (highly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with passion for making a positive impact on children and employees.
• Ensure the center environment complies with health and safety SOPs and licensing rules.
• Maintain filing systems for student and family records per procedures and regulations.
• Manage center inventory including supplies, food, curriculum and recognition items.
• Oversee vendor relationships for facility maintenance and technology support.
• Drive enrollment growth and family retention through outreach and tours.
