Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. (CIFC) Danbury Early Learning Programs is seeking a Child Development Associate (CDA) Specialist to assist in 1–2 classrooms with planning and implementing routines, curriculum, meals and activities for children aged 6 months to 5 years.

The role supports Head Start/Preschool groups in a 14–20 child classroom; supervised by Lead Teacher(s) and Education Services Professional.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Entry level position with preference for childcare experience.
• CDA certificate or commitment to obtain CDA within 1 year (employer-paid).
• Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged; multi-language abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist 1–2 classrooms in planning and implementing routines, curriculum, meals and activities for pre-school and/or infant/toddler children (ages 6 months-5 years).
• Serve as an aide in a classroom of 14–20 Head Start/Preschool or 7–8 Infant/Toddler children.
• Operate under supervision of Lead Teacher(s) and Education Services Professional.
