Job summary

Lifesteps is seeking a Full-Time Child Care Staff to work in Beaver, PA. The Teacher Aide position supports children ages 3 to 5 while working Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

The role involves assisting with lesson planning, supervising activities, and communicating with families about each child’s day. Lifesteps has a longstanding commitment to early care and education for children of all abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and 2 years of child care experience.
• Able to lift or move up to 40 pounds.
• Able to obtain PA Criminal clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI clearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
• Preferred degrees in Early Childhood Education or related human services field.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervision of children aged 3 to 5 years.
• Assist with lesson planning and creating activities.
• Inform parents about the child's day.
• Clean and organize the room, toys, and equipment.
• Participate in quality initiatives such as Keystone Stars.
