Job summary

Orange County Government seeks a Recreation Program Coordinator to oversee preschool and summer camps for ages 3-5 within the Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation (DEAPR). Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in sports administration/recreation management or closely related field; two years of experience promoting recreation activities or programs, or assisting in municipal recreation administration.
Equivalent combination of education and experience; higher degrees do not substitute for experience.
Experience with preschool programs and summer camps preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate preschool and summer camps for ages 3-5.
Coordinate social, recreational, and educational activities including leagues, camps, afterschool, and special events.
Provide supervision to temporary employees and assist in planning and initiating activity groups.
