Job summary

Oregon Coast Community Action is seeking a full-time Seasonal Bus Driver to safely transport Head Start students and staff in the Coos Bay area. You will follow state regulations, complete pre-trip inspections, maintain bus safety, and support children with supervision and sign-in/out procedures.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, Oregon School Bus Driver Certification, and a Class B/C CDL with S and P endorsements; prior driving experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Oregon School Bus Drivers Certification required.
• Class B or C CDL with S and P endorsements required.
• Preferred one year paid experience and/or training related to the position.
• Must maintain driving certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan fixed bus routes that meet transportation requirements and update as needed.
• Transport preschool children and staff safely to and from Head Start center.
• Perform pre-trip inspection, document results, and submit per policy.
• Keep bus fueled and perform routine maintenance as needed.
• Maintain appropriate child supervision, sign-in/out procedures, and release to authorized adults.
