Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking an Associate Educator for Early Childhood Education Preschool at Davis Center to support licensed staff and foster a positive learning environment.

In this role, you will assist with classroom activities, reinforce instruction, and coordinate with families and community partners to support student achievement while adhering to district policies. The position requires strong teamwork and adaptability in a diverse urban setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 60 semester or 90 quarter college credits or a high school diploma with a passing score of 460 on the ParaPro Assessment.
• AND 2 years of experience working with children.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in education, child development, parent education or a related area.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and staff.
• First Aid, CPR, CPI training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and staff in educational functions to maintain a safe, diverse, and productive learning environment.
• Reinforce classroom learning and support student achievement and behavior policies.
• Collaborate with licensed staff to implement programs and serve as a liaison with families and community.
• Record data for academic and behavioral assessments and maintain required reports.
• Coordinate transportation needs and district guidelines related to students and transportation.
