Qualifications

• Knowledge of ECE development and Connecticut early learning standards.
• Warm, nurturing personality essential.
• Bilingual Spanish/English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in daily classroom supervision, including outdoor play activities and safe environment.
• Promote an inclusive, anti-racist culture and YMCA values.
• Assist with developmentally appropriate curriculums and required forms.
• Use child development knowledge to plan for individual children.
• Supervise parents and visitors in the classroom.
• Assist in drills and emergency preparations.
• Prepare materials, maintain attendance and CACFP/USDA reports.
• Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain Anecdotal Logs for each child.
• Keep materials and spaces neat, safe, and organized.
• Maintain confidentiality of child and family information.
• Supervise a group of children and adhere to policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
