The Preschool Assistant at the Family YMCA of Emporia-Greensville plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Preschool Program. Under the direction of the Preschool Lead Teacher, you’ll help provide a safe, caring environment aligned with YMCA values, ensuring a positive experience for children and families.

Responsibilities include preparing activities, participating in staff trainings, and maintaining a professional appearance and conduct to reflect the YMCA ethos.

Responsibilities

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (provided after hire).
• Complete 24 hours of pre-employment orientation and licensing training.
• Clear Tuberculosis test.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training (16 hours/year).
• Follow the YMCA code of conduct.
• Clear Criminal Records Check and Clear Child Protective Services Check.
